Leta Gay Byrd

Leta Gay Chrisley Byrd, 76, of Bluewell, WV passed away at her home on Friday, June 17, 2022.

Born on February 1, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Lyle and Dessie Chrisley. She was a life-long resident of Bluefield and a graduate of Bluefield High School. She had worked for 29 years at New Method Cleaners in Bluefield, VA. She dearly loved her cats, Smokey Joe and Sissy. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers and fixing up her home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Nash.

Those left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 58 years, Clarence Byrd of the home; sisters Lois and Marie Myers both of Bluefield, WV, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home chapel in Bluewell with Pastor David Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV where friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
