Leonard Elmer Shrewsbury

Leonard Elmer Shrewsbury, 80, of Rock Road, Bluefield, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at his home.

Born on July 24, 1938 in Rock, he was a son of the late Artie and Thelma Renn Shrewsbury. He had been a resident of Mercer County since 1972 and was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a retired mechanic.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Shrewsbury; and 4 brothers.

13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Eddie Mabe officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Kevin Hedges, James hedges, Richard Spaulding, Todd Gullett, Justin Cox, and Eric Herron will serve as pallbearers. Military honors will be performed by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.

Friends may call on Friday from 12:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
