Laura B Ealy

Laura B. Doby Ealy, 89, of Westwood Center Bluefield, VA passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017at Westwood Medical Park in Bluefield, VA.Laura was born on August 25, 1927 in Bluefield, WV to the late Lewis McCoy Doby and Mary Ethel Dooley Doby. She was a lifetime member of the First Church of God on Fincastle Lane in Bluefield, VA where she served on many committees, taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Laura had been a resident of Bluefield for the past 20 years.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas H. Ealy; three sisters Beulah Farmer, Alice Thomas and Muriel Box. She was also preceded in death by two brothers James Doby and Lewis “Bud” Doby.Laura is survived by three daughters Connie Doss of Bluefield, WV; Linda Henegar and husband Jerry of Bluefield, VA and Brenda Caldwell and husband Sam of Thomasville, NC. Two sisters Maxine Louck and husband Louie of Findlay, OH and Elizabeth Hembrook and husband Arthur of Centerville, OH. Grandchildren Eddie and Karla Caldwell of Trinity, NC; Jonathan and Brooke Caldwell of Archdale, NC; Laura and Barry Woodall of Reidsville, NC; Thomas Henegar of Bluefield, VA; Steve and Tonya Henegar of Bluefield, VA and Mike Auther of Savannah, GA. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Lacy Brooks officiating the service. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluefield, WV. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
