Larry Allen Peters

Larry Allen Peters, 81, of Havaco, WV passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Princeton Community Hospital from complications of acute pancreatitis.

He was born on May 28, 1942 in Havaco  to the late Carl and Mary Lester Peters. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired electrician in the coal mines.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 55 years, Patricia Cregger Peters in 2021. Also, his brother Gene Peters and his sister Charlotte Cregger.

He is survived by his three daughters (Larry and Pat's girls): Jackie Mitchell and husband Frank of Wilcoe; Teresa Goins and husband Sam of  Anawalt;and Jeanne Crabtree and 'husband Chuck of Havaco. Five grandchildren:   Amber King and   husband Ryan of laeger; Nick Crabtree and wife Stephanie of Bluewell; Brian Mitchell of Wilcoe; Natalie Crabtree of Welch; and Madison Dunman and husband Kegan  of Anawalt. Two great-grandchildren: Elijah King of laeger and Ansley Crabtree of Bluewell. His sister Glenna Watson of Cedar Lake, IN. Niece and nephews. Also, his dogs Toby and Mitzi who he lovingly cared for.

Larry was a member of Havaco Community Church. He faithfully attended Faith Baptist Church each Sunday   morning where his son in law, Chuck Crabtree, pastors and son in law, Sam Goins, teaches. He enjoyed going to church and singing hymns. He could always be found with a big smile on his face and never a complaint. He was a truly kind man with endless patience. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell with Rev. Dean Hatfield, Chuck Crabtree, and Sam Goins officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell at the service time.
