Larry Burks

While we are mourning the loss of our Father, others are rejoicing in Heaven.

Larry Burks, (Cowboy), formally of Jesse, West Virginia went home to be with our Lord on Monday, February 12, 2024. Those left to miss him until we are all united again are his wife, Louise Burks of 59 years; son, Timothy Larry Burks and wife, Angela of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; daughter, Tammy Johnson and husband, Roger of Dandridge, Tennessee; grandchildren, Joshua Lyons and wife, Shannon of Shady Side, Maryland, Adam Burks of Pineville, West Virginia, Cortnee Irick and husband, Tyler of Maple Meadow, West Virginia; special grandson and caregiver, Jacob Aaron Counts of Jesse, West Virginia; Sheena Knight and husband, Michael of Hamptonville, North Carolina, Nathan Johnson and wife, Jessica of Shady Spring, West Virginia, Alexis and Alex Jordan of Gilbert, West Virginia; great-grandchildren, Karli, Paxton, Kyleigh and Tegan, Annabell, Lorelei, and John. Bryson, Archer and Maliyah; sister, Mildred Roark of Kentucky.

A celebration of dads life will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow in Burks Cemetery where family and friends will service as pallbearers. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Burks family.
