Kenneth Ray Tiller

Kenneth Ray Tiller, 74, of Dry Branch Road, Raysal, passed away on Saturday December 23, 2017 at Welch Community Hospital.Born on November 24, 1943 in Lamar, WV, he was a son of the late Wallace and Ruth Vance Tiller Atkins. He had been a resident of Raysal for 30 years and was a member of the Jesus Name Church. He was a retired coal miner with 27 years at the Semet-Solvay Coal Company at Capels and was a member of the UMWA.Survivors include: Wife of fifty-seven years Helen Grose Tiller of the homeSons: Kenneth Ray Tiller, Jr. and Annetta of Bartley Robert Lee Tiller of Raysal 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren Brother: Danny Atkins of Wytheville, VASister: Fonda Hagy of Wytheville, VA Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Jesus Name Church in Bartley with Rev. Pete Woods officiating. Burial will follow at the Gross-Tiller Cemetery in Raysal at a later date. Friends may call after 6 PM on Friday at the church.
