Keith Ray Darago

Keith Ray Darago, 75, of Rock, WV, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024, at his home with his wife by his side. 

Born July 10, 1949, he was the son of the late Garland and Inez East Darago. He was a retired coal miner with 30 years service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Darago Hodges. 

Those left to cherish Keith's memory are his wife of 54 years, Diane Wyatt Darago of the home; children, Kimberly Darago Miller and husband Doug of Rock, WV, Garland Darago and wife Ashley of Rock, WV, and Ronika Bompus and husband Marvin of Proctorville, OH; sister, Sharon Bailey and husband Chris. Keith had eight grandchildren, Ashton Nunn (Kenneth), Stephen Miller, Ariel Hodges (Josh), Aaron Miller (Kristen), Trevor Darago (Audrie), Bailee Darago, Lucas Bompus, and Christian Bompus; and seven great grandchildren, Cheyanne, Elijah, and Raegan Hodges, Mason, Kennedy, and Blane Nunn, and Ezra Darago.

In keeping with Keith's wishes, he is to be cremated.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Travis Helmandollar officiating. Burial will follow at a family cemetery in Rock, WV. Friends may call one hour prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
