Jules Fredrick “Bud” Stassin, 84, of Beach Drive Radford, VA, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
Born on December 27, 1936 in Giatto, WV. He was a son of the late Jules Delano and Fannie E. Pennington Stassin. He had lived in Radford for the last 15 years, and was a retired Electric motor mechanic. He was a member of the Bluewell Baptist Church. The things Bud enjoyed most were his family, spending time down by the lake, and fishing. He never met a stranger and had a courageous personality that everyone loved.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Renae Clemons Stassin, 2 sons Kevin, and Steve Stassin, Brothers, Garnet Stassin, Matthew Stassin, Sisters, Sue Coeburn, Gertrude Smith, and Virginia Stevenson
Survivors include his son, Michael (Anna) Stassin of Salem, VA; Granddaughters, Chelsa Stassin of Christiansburg, VA, Summer Stassin of Salem, VA, Tori Stassin of Salem, VA Grandsons, Kevin Stassin of Radford, VA, Jules Stassin of Salem, VA, Great granddaughter, Athena Stassin.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 1:00PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Charles Bowling officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where Kevin Stassin, Michael Stassin, Austin Stassin, Jeff Childress, Dwayne Dixon, and Chris Cox will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may come one hour prior to services, from 12:00-1:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
