Judy Delane West

Judy Delane West, 72, of Bluefield, WV passed away peacefully on September 9, 2023. Judy was born on January 3, 1951, in Bluefield, WV. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Marie Stamper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Shirley Spicer and Marie June Stamper, and brothers Jessie Stamper and Kenneth Stamper, and her first grandson Christopher Clark Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her Husband of over 40 years Jessie Eugene West, Children Elizabeth Jones and husband Rusty, Angeline Clark, Curtis West Sr. and wife Amy, Jessica Sandlin and husband Steven. Grandchildren Ashley Cline, Brittney Clark, Joseph Clark, Lexi Sandlin, Curtis West Jr., Chloe Sandlin, Colton West, and Stone Sandlin. Three Great-Grandchildren, Bentley, Vera, and Scarlett Haggins. Sisters Gail Lusk and husband Michael and Kathy Stamper, Sister-In-Law Linda Stamper. 

Judy grew up in the community of Midway where she enjoyed going berry-picking with her sisters. Her adult life was spent being a mother and housewife. She found the most happiness from her husband Gene who was the love of her life, her children and grandchildren. Judy was a loving Mawmaw to her grandchildren, that she thought of as her own. She loved playing cards with them and watching them sing and dance for her. Several of her grandkids would come spend the summer with her in Bluefield. 

She enjoyed the simple things in life, like watching old western movies with her husband. Her hugs and laugh will be missed by many. 

The family will receive friends at Mid-Way Christian Church in Bluefield, WV Friday Evening September 15, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Mid-Way Christian Church with Dan Webb officiating. Graveside will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Bluefield, VA
