Juanita Sheppard

Juanita Sheppard of Bluefield, Virginia passed away peacefully at her home this day, the 26th of September, 2020. Her beloved husband, Curtis Sheppard, preceded her in death. Left behind are her children, a son, Jeffrey Sheppard, a daughter, Vanessa Sheppard, both of Bluefield, VA, and her daughter, Teresa Baker, and her husband, John Baker, of Bluefield, WV, two grandchildren, Justin Davis and Christopher Sheppard, and his wife, Camela, and her two great grandchildren, Haley and Aubrey. She also has one step-grandchild, Jonathan Seabolt. We will forevermore miss her warm, kind, and loving heart.

She took care of the people that she loved, sitting tirelessly by their sides for months on end, during times of illness and unrest in their lives. She was an exceptional human being. She was one of Bluefield, Virginia’s most outstanding citizens, being resolved by the Town of Bluefield, Virginia, on January 17, 2017, for her decades of volunteerism with both the Town of Bluefield, Virginia, and the local VFW Post 9696 Women’s Auxiliary. She truly made her hometown a more beautiful place to live.

Please come join her family in celebrating a life well lived. Visitation will be held at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home on September 30, 2020, from 6pm until 8pm. Her funeral services are being held the following day, October 1, 2020, at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. She will then be laid to rest at Grandview Memory Gardens. Random acts of kindness would bring a bright smile to her angelic face, during this time of her celebration. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
