Juanita Lou Corner

Juanita Lou Corner, 67, of Mt. Airy, NC and formerly of Anawalt, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at her son’s home in Mt. Airy, NC.

Born on January 9, 1952 in McDowell County, she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Geneva Casey. She had been a lifelong resident of McDowell County before moving to NC 14 years ago. She was a home maker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Corner; and a son, John Corner.

Survivors include her sons, Charles Corner, Jr., Robert Lee Corner, and Melvin C. Corner, all of NC; numerous grandchildren, several great grandchildren; two brothers, David and Marvin Casey; and sisters, Rosa Hammonds, Sissy Coe, and Margaret Parks.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Saturday from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
