Joyce Anetta DeSantis

Joyce Anetta DeSantis, age 79, of Shenandoah Avenue, Bluefield, WV died on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Commonwealth Senior Living Center in Cedar Bluff, VA. Born on August 29, 1939, in Glen Alum, WV she was a daughter of the late Homer and Ina Carter Smith. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was retired as a home health nurse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Anthony DeSantis. Survivors include: Sons: Michael DeSantis of Stanford, CTTimothy DeSantis of Wynnewood, PA Brothers: Robert Smith of Katy, TXPaul Smith of New Kent, VADavid Smith of Newburg, MD Sisters: Cherie Hanna of Bluefield, WVJudy Ellis of Wharrencliff, WV 2 Grandchildren In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
