John Maynard Shew

John Maynard Shew, 65, of New Port Richey, Florida passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Gulfside Regional Hospice in New Port Richey, Florida.
John was born on July 18, 1952 in Pocahontas, Virginia to the late Noah Felix Shew Sr. and Stella E. Byrd Shew.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Margaret Swiderski; two brothers Frank Shew and Noah Shew, Jr.
Survivors Include Sammy Shew and wife Virginia of Lockport, Illinois; Jimmy Shew and wife Connie of Chicago, Illinois, Fred Shew and wife Nancy of Chicago, Illinois; Richard Shew and wife Janet of Winter Haven, Florida; Freida Shew Bonik and husband Charles of Calhoun, Georgia and Sandra Shew Catron and husband Jody of Bluefield, Virginia. John is also survived by a special niece and caretaker Libby Abbatoy of New Port Richey, Florida along with numerous nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.
Funeral services for John will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), West Virginia. with Rev. Michael Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluefield (Bluewell), West Virginia where John’s nephews will be serving as pallbearers.
Friends and relatives will be received on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
