John Henry Musick

John Henry Musick, Sr., 77, of Duck Pond Road, Bluefield, WV, left his earthly home and entered eternal rest on Monday, February 17, 2020.

Psalm 103:15-17—The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field. The wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting, the Lord’s love with those who fearing and his righteous with their children’s children.

Born on September 23, 1942 in McDowell County, he was a son of the late Brady D. and Della Mae Jessee Musick. He attended Bluewell United Methodist Church and was a retired coal miner with Eastern Associated Coal and was a retired small business owner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Kay Musick; brothers, Tom Musick, Frank Musick, and Ralph Musick.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel Kipfinger Musick of the home; sons, John H. Musick, Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA and James (Jamie) L. Musick of Bluefield, WV; brothers, F.E. (Gene) Musick of San Diego, CA; sisters, Emma Musick Pensule of Bruceton Mills, WV, and Sue Musick Dillon of Magnolia, DE. John felt special kindred to Katherine Kipfinger (Ron) Eddy, Roy “Buddy” (Leila) Kipfinger, Jane Kipfinger (Walter) Griffith; many nieces and nephews and his special pet “Pepper”.

A special thanks to Kindred Home and Amedysis Hospice for their care and support during this time.

Since there will not be a public service, the family wishes to thank everyone who has shown their continued support, thought and prayers, visits, phone calls, cards, messages and facebooks. Please take a moment to think of him.
