John William Foster, Jr., 54, of Portsmouth, VA, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 in Northfork, WV.

Born on September 9, 1969 in Portsmouth, VA, he was a son of John William Foster, Sr. and Shelby Mae England Foster of Northfork, WV. He was a forklift driver in the lumber industry.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his sons, Tyler Foster of Portsmouth, VA, and Jesse Foster of Portsmouth, VA; 2 grandchildren, Essence Brown and Kynleigh Foster; brothers, Jeffrey Foster of Kellysville, WV and Dustin England Foster of Bluefield, WV; and a sister, Thelma Foster of Maybeury.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Kenneth Abram officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
