Joan I. Pigg

Joan I. “Susie” Pigg, age 81, of Browning Lambert Mountain, Rock, WV died on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at her home with her family.

Born on June 16, 1938 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Stella Hogan Jackson. She had been a resident of Mercer County her entire life and was a former owner and operator of a Restaurant and a Flower Shop in Montcalm. She was a member of Mount Grove Baptist Church on Browning Lambert Mountain.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie “R.C.” Pigg.

Daughters: Cornelia Jones and husband Pedo of Rock, WV

                 Teresa Davidson and husband Jimmy of Tazewell, VA

Brother: Larry Jackson of Bluefield, WV

Sisters: Phyllis Hurt of Bluefield, WV and Edith Martin of Montcalm, WV

Special Friends: Patty Hines and Elvis Horn

Grandchildren: Shannon Jones, Terri and kids of Bluefield, WV

                            Scotty Jones of Rock, WV

                            Tracy Beggs and kids of Rock, WV

A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Rev. David Lusk officiating. Her family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
