Jerry C. Trump, 69, went home to the Lord on Saturday, December 30, 2017 He was reunited with his beloved parents, precious family, and cherished friends.
Jerry was born in Welch, WV on October 27, 1948 to William and Ida Trump. After leaving home, he worked in a car wash and then a machine shop in Detroit, Michigan. He was then drafted into The United States Army where he completed Basic Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Jerry then served honorably in Hohenfels, Germany and Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
After being honorably discharged, Jerry worked as a coal miner for more than a decade at US Steel #50. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman and dedicated father.
Jerry was active in his church, Airport Road First Church of God in Bluefield WV.
Jerry was survived by his sisters Betty, Rita, Dorothy and Jean; son, Jason Trump, and daughter-in-law, Roxana Trump.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 4:00pm until 5:00pm at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 5:00pm with Pastor, Dana Hambrick officiating.
