Jerry Don Mitchem

Jerry Don Mitchem (Pops) 65 of Thorpe,Wv went to be with the lord Friday May 12,2023 at Princeton Community Hospital after a long illness.

Jerry was born May 27,1957 in Welch, Wv He was the son of the late Jim Gus Mitchem and Gladys Graham Mitchem. Jerry was a loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother. Other than his parents Jerry was preceded in death by six sisters. Mary Smith, Doris (Tiny) Booker, Mildred Mitchem, Edith Thompson, Darlene Lane, and Hazel Cooley. Four brothers William ( Copperhead) Mitchem, Robert (Bobby) Mitchem, Billy Mitchem, and Wayne Mitchem and One Mother in law that he loved dearly Wanda Lorraine Parrish. Leaving to cherish his memories is his devoted wife of 39 years Laura Lorraine Mitchem, Three daughters Stephanie Craig and husband Joe, Crystal Short and husband Johnny, and Melissa Mitchem, and he only son Jerry Ray Mitchem Sr, one ex-daughter in law Tabitha Mitchem. His Grandkids Laken Short, Kailab Mitchem, Jerry R Mitchem Jr. Johnny Short Jr, Makayla Mitchem, Kaylee Short, Nakeisha Craig and Lil Joe Craig one brother Glen Mitchem and wife Renae.

Service will be conducted Thursday May 18,2023 at 11:00 AM at the House of Prayer Tabernacle in Jesus name Bramwell, Wv with Rev Jimmy D Thompson and Rev Joey Rowe. Burial will follow at Jarret Cemetery Eckman Wv. Serving as Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Friends may call on Wednesday after 6:00 PM at the church.
