Jerry William Kenley

Jerry William Kenley, 78, of Rocky Gap, VA, was received by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Jerry was born and raised in Montgomery County and made his home in Rocky Gap, VA. He had a long career as a heavy equipment mechanic and welder.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife; Barbara, and his parents; Kermit and Edith Kenley; as well as a brother, Clarence.

 Left to cherish his memory are his sons; Bobby (Sherri) and Mike (Kathy) Kenley, daughter; Myra Kenley Johnston, all of Christiansburg.  He is also survived by five grandchildren; Chelsie (Will) McClung, Lucas Kenley, Paige Kenley, Drew (Laken) Kenley, Joshua (Michaela) Johnston, and four great-grandchildren; brother Kenneth (Barbara) Kenley, sisters; Brenda Luz and Betty Bobbitt, and sister-in-law Joan Kenley, all of Christiansburg, and many nieces and nephews; two step-sons; Ted (Anita) Jones of Bluefield, VA, Scott (Anita) Jones of Radford, VA; step-daughter, Terri Barker (Steve Beaty) of Rocky Gap, VA; eight step grandchildren, and seven step-great grandchildren.

In accordance with Jerry’s wishes, a memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, WV at 3:00P.M. with Dr. Doug Hyndrich officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Because of his love for animals, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, please contribute to your local animal shelter.

Jerry was well loved by his family and friends and will be truly missed.
