Jerry Lee Kade, 74, of Lorton Lick Road Bluefield, WV passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at his residence. Jerry was born on November 19, 1942 in Kade Hollow to the late Ernest and Chloie Bibey Kade. He was a 1961 graduate of Montcalm High School, where he met his sweetheart Judy. They married on November 17, 1962. Jerry was retired from Moores Chip Company with twenty nine years of service and also retired from Pop Shop #7 with fourteen years of service. He was a hardworking man, who was dedicated to his family. He enjoyed riding horses, working in the yard and watching Gray’s Anatomy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-three years Judy; he was also preceded in death by four brothers Albert, Jim, Melvin and Danny Kade. Survivors include two daughters Mia Compton and husband Kevin of Bluefield, WV and Selina Poff and husband Lee of Bluefield, WV. Two granddaughters he loved very much Danielle Leigh and Katelyn Brooke (Justin Huff). Two Sisters Barbara Kade and Katherine Pennington and husband Wayne of Kentucky. One brother Bill Kade and wife Kathy of Georgia. Special friends include Wayne and Joyce Lester, Anita Farmer, David Buchanan, Raymond Walker and Vickie Perry. He will be sadly missed and will remain close in our hearts forever. He is happy at home in Heaven with his beloved Judy. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with Pastor Chad Lambert officiating the service. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum in Bluewell, WV where family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. The Kade family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
