Jerri Lenore Starkey-Morris

Jerri Lenore Starkey-Morris, 49, of Bluefield, WV, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 at her home after a brief illness.

Born on January 17, 1972 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late Jerry Starkey and Sheila Leggett. She was a 1990 graduate of Bluefield High School and Bluefield State College in a degree in nursing. She was employed at Princeton Community Hospital as an RN until an illness in 2017.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and a niece, Michyala Pearson.

Survivors include her stepfather, Howard Leggett of Bluefield; children, Jordan Masterson of Bluefield, WV, Victoria Edwards of the home, and grandson, Jayden Masterson; brothers, Howard Leggett, Jr. of Radford, VA, and Morrisettie Leggett of NC; sisters, Candace (Delbert) Alexander of Bluefield, Errica (David) Martin of Bluefield, LaWanna Pearson of Bluefield, Irisca Leggett of Bluefield, Riqui Leggett of Bluefield, Mia Bailey, of Detroit, MI; lifelong friend, Bridgett Christian Lewis of Torrance, CA; goddaughters, Kourtni Latimer and Haley Welch; special grandsons, Christian Latimer and Caden Wallace and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.; and a special friend, Angelic Green of Bluefield.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Bluefield with friends and family serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 on Saturday, at the funeral home.
