Janice Hagerman

Janice “Sissy” Sparks Hagerman, age 68, of Tazewell, VA gained her angel wings on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Born on May 7, 1952 in Welch, WV, she was a daughter of the late Ted and Thelma Sparks. Janice was a loving and caring mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends who were the most important thing in her whole world. They gave her a reason to live.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Hagerman; a brother, Jimmy R. Sparks; an infant sister, Kathy Sparks and several aunts and uncles.

Great-Grandchildren: Faith Coulter and Jade Strobel

Special Aunt: Geraldine Johnson

God-Daughter: Desiree Cox

Special Nephew: Cameron Davis who brought light into her darkest days and will be an honorary pallbearer

She is also survived by 5 nieces, 3 nephews, and a very special and caring friend, Charles M. Stowers of Tazewell, VA

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Jessie Hurley and Chaplain C.T. Lilly officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum in Bluewell. Friends may call from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be Steven Fearby, Auston Fearby, Mark West, Kevin Davis, Jimbo Sparks and Ted Sparks will serve as pallbearers.
