Janet Ruth Perdue

Janet Ruth Perdue, 82, of Tazewell, VA, formally of Bluefield, WV, passed Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Heritage Hall in Tazewell, VA. 

Born July 30, 1942, in Bluefield, WV, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Cassola Dove Bevill. Janet was a lifelong resident of Bluefield, WV and a member of Lorton Lick Baptist Church. Janet was a retired bookkeeper. 

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by two sons, Warren Brian Perdue and Kevin Wayne Perdue, and two sisters, Betty Hutchison and Della Dough. 

Those left to cherish Janet's memory are her husband, Warren Philip Perdue of the home; son, Kenneth Gordon Perdue and wife Tina of Tazewell, VA; sister, Diana Bevill of New Jersey; granddaughter, Haley Hurley, and great grandson Logan Scott.

Funeral services will be held, Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV, with Rev. Shawn Bragg officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
