Jane Louise Bevins

Jane Louise Penland Bevins, 85, of Pageton, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at the McDowell Healthcare Center. 

Born on August 1, 1939 in Anawalt, she was a daughter of the late Ernest (Bob) and Thelma Shumate Penland. She had been a resident of Pageton since 1963 and attended the Church of God. She was a devoted homemaker. 

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jack and James Penland. 

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Edward Bevins of Pageton; a son, Michael (Lorrie) Bevins, Sr. of Skygusty, grandchildren, Maria Bevins and Shawn Stewart of Summersville, Michael (Sara) Bevins, Jr. of Skygusty, and Courtney Stepp (Matthew Watkins) of Crumpler; and great grandchildren, Gage Geisbert, Tanner and Chase Stewart, Amiah, Journey and Noah Bevins, Aaron (AJ) Stepp, Nevaeh and Noah Watkins.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Nick Marrs officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with family serving as pallbearers. 

Friends may call prior to services, from 10:00-11:00AM at the funeral home.
