Jane Baker

Jane Baker 79 of Falls Mills, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia.

Jane was born on November 19, 1939 in Jenkinjones, West Virginia to the late Clyde and Verda Shrewsbury Jones. Jane was a 35+ year member of Community Baptist Church and dedicated homemaker. She was a loving wife and mother. Jane coordinated church projects to support Appalachian Teen Challenge and Operation Christmas Child.

In addition to her parents Jane was preceded in death by two brothers Denver Jones and Jerry Jones.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of over 60 years David Baker of the home; two sons Mike Baker of Charlotte, North Carolina and Warner Baker of Pearisburg, Virginia; two daughters Kathy Baker-Brown and husband Kevin of Denver, North Carolina and Kelly Baker-Shannon and husband William of Dublin, Virginia. Two brothers Shane Jones and wife Jan of Denver, North Carolina and Allen Jones and wife Nancy of Atlanta, Georgia. One sister Columbia McDonough and husband Tom of Tazewell, Virginia and sister in law: Donna Jones of Asheboro, North Carolina.

Funeral service for Jane will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), West Virginia with Rev. Ken Owens officiating the service. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum where friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

The Baker family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.
