James "Jimmy" Roosevelt Rasi

Acts 16:31 “Believe in the LORD Jesus Christ and you will be saved. “

James Roosevelt Rasi “Jimmy”, age 69, of Bluefield, WV passed away peacefully November 12, 2019.

He was a son of the late Frank “Pops” and Christine Rasi. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tony Rasi and “Frankie” Rasi; and a niece, Marcie Rasi.

Jimmy was an employee of Martins Furniture in Bluewell, Nash Finch in Falls Mills, and McDowell Supply in Beckley.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf with his brothers, cousins, and friends that were all special to him. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bluefield and was a graduate of Bluefield High School.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 48 years, Alice Rasi of the home; daughters, Christy Rasi and A.J. Jones, Stacy Lovell and Thomas "Punkin" Lovell, and Jessica Rasi; grandchildren and great-grandchildren that he loved dearly, Faith, Trenton “T.J.”, Elijah, Santana, R.J., Tommy, Destinee, Ian, Lucas, Brayden, Kayleigh, and Madelyn “Maddie”; brothers, Johnny Rasi and wife Eugenia, and Jerry Rasi and wife Karen; and a sister-in-law, Sandra Rasi.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Father Sebastian Devasya officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM prior to the service.
