Jackie Lee Heffinger

Jackie Lee Heffinger, 76, of Anawalt, WV, passed Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. 

Born April 17, 1948, in Welch, WV, he was a son of the late Marvin E. and Eva Cochran Heffinger. Jackie was a resident of McDowell County for most of his life. He worked as an installer and repairman for Frontier. 

In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. 

Those left to cherish Jackie’s memory are his wife, Vicky L. Head Heffinger of the home; daughter, Jodi L. Pendergrass and husband Logan of Knoxville, TN; and two grandchildren, Sarah Jean and Sam. 

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV, with Rev. Myron Tilley officiating. Entombment will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell, WV, where family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. The Mercer County Veteran Honor Guard will be performing military graveside rites. 

A visitation will be held prior to funeral services, from 1:00-2:00 PM, at the funeral home.
