Jackie David Broomfield

Jackie David Broomfield, 62, of Maybeury, WV, passed away Friday morning, December 23, 2022 at his home. Born October 15, 1960 in Welch, WV, he was a son of the late Woodrow and Rachael Rose Broomfield. Jackie was a proud veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Broomfield; brothers, Paul and Christy Broomfield; sisters, Sylvia, Sarah, Mary Hall, and Goldie Hicks. Those left to cherish Jackie’s memory are his wife, Carolyn Heath Broomfield of the home; sons, Robert Broomfield and Jack Broomfield, both of the home; daughter, Melanie Broomfield of the home; brothers, Johnny Broomfield of Maybeury, WV, Floyd Broomfield of Maybeury, WV, Jimmy (Lil) Broomfield of FL, and Roger Broomfield of TN; and sister, Wanda Collins of Bland, VA. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Omar Burns and Rev. Kenneth Abram officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum where friends and family will serve as pallbearers. The Mercer County Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct the flag folding ceremony. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Broomfield family.
