Iris Diana Russell

November 7, 1946 — December 4, 2021

Iris Diana Bailey Russell, 75, of Bluefield, WV, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at her home. Born November 7, 1946 in Kopperston, WV, she was a daughter of the late Vernon and Eloise Napier Bailey. Iris formerly owned and operated Jim’s Convenience in Keystone, WV with her husband, and was a member of the Welch Church of God.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry “Jim” Russell; brother, Vernon Bailey; sister, Betty Simon; and two twin infant sisters.

 

Those left to cherish Iris’ memory are her daughters, Jeanie Bailey of Thomasville, NC, Betty Kephart and husband, Kenneth, of Omaha, NE, and Ericka Farnsworth and husband, Bill, of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, James Proffitt, Kelly Proffitt, Amanda Meyer, Kenneth Schneider, Joni Kephart-James, and Robbie White; and 8 great-grandchildren.

 

A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Monday, December 13, 2021 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Brother Tim Akers officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park at a later date. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Russell family.
