Hollis "Bud" Truman Sikes

Hollis Truman “Bud” Sikes, 90, (Sandlick) Bluefield, WV, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born on December 8, 1931, in Corey, LA, he was a son of the late James E. and Alice Knight Sikes. Hollis had been a resident of Sandlick since mid-1950. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and a retired auto mechanic. He was also a member of Mapleview Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Fagg Sikes; daughters, Pamela Jean Hess and Patricia June Berge; grandson, Michael Alan Sikes; 6 brothers and 5 sisters. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Douglas Alan (Rebecca) Sikes of Falls Mills, VA and Steven Lee (Debbie) Sikes of Melbourne, FL; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home chapel in Bluewell with Minster Buddy Goins officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday prior to the services, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Sikes family.
