In Loving Memory of Henry Martin LucionHenry Martin Lucion, 80, of Bluewell, WV, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017. Henry was the son of the late Robert and Ella Hill Lucion, of Hensley, WV. Henry spent the majority of his professional life with the Norfolk and Southern Railroad, where he served for more than 30 years.However, Lucion’s proudest achievement was his abiding love for his beautiful family. He and his surviving wife, Gwen, brought three daughters up in the world, Tina Lucion, Kimberly Lucion Miller, and Lori Lucion. He has been preceded in death by his brothers, Phillip Patrick Lucion, Robert Lucion Jr, Anthony Lucion and Albert Lucion, and his sisters Lorraine Alberty, Anna Lucion, and Angelina Hall. He is survived by sisters Katie Dotson and husband, Paul, of Bassett, VA; Judy Bailey, Sandra England, and Pauline Lucion of Hensley, WV. Henry was a trusted and loyal friend to a wide circle throughout his life, and the “fun” uncle to all of his nephews and nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces.In addition, he volunteered his time with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Once retired, he could spend more time at his favorite avocation, fishing. He was particularly fond of aggravating the fish at Topsail Island, North Carolina.He connected with his community in countless ways over the years, as a member of the Bluewell Lions Club. In a nod to his heritage, Henry also belonged to the Sons of Italy.Donations can be made to the “Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research” to honor his memory. A celebration of Henry’s life will be held at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at 2 p.m., with Dr. Steven Stefancic presiding. Henry will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell on Monday, October 9, at 10 am. Pallbearers will be his nephews.
