Helen Ruth Jenkins

Helen Ruth Jenkins, 80, of Bland St. Bluefield, West Virginia passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Maples Nursing Home.                 Helen was born February 12, 1937 in Wytheville, Virginia to the late Edgar Ernst Grimes and Eva Mae Burk Grimes. She had been a resident of Bluefield for the past 64 years.                 In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband.                 Survivors include her three sons Randall Helmondollar of Bluewell, WV, Brian Jenkins of Princeton, WV and Mel Jenkins of Lake Shawnee, WV. Six daughters Nancy Hubbard of NC, Betty Michalski of Rockingham, NC,  Claire Hall of Union Mills, NC, Bernadette Hall of Rock, WV, Bonnie Woody of Missouri, and Melissa Jenkins of Glenwood. Three brothers Edgar M. Grimes of Baltimore, MD, James Grimes of Richmond, VA and Billy Grimes of Wytheville, VA. Three Sisters Geneva Butler of Poayason, VA, Sadie Butner of Wytheville, VA and Francis Wancewiez of Nudalk, MN.  She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.                 Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with Minister Jack Johnson officiating the service. Burial will follow at Lebanon Lutheran Church Cemetery in Wytheville, VA where Justin Riley, Sam Johnson, Mel Jenkins, Brian Jenkins, Randall Helmondollar and Steven Simpson will be serving as pallbearers.                 The Jenkins family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 10:00a.m. until 11:00a.m. at the funeral home.                 Online condolences will be accepted at www.cravens-shires.com
