Helen May Hayes Davis, 83, of Country Side Road Princeton, West Virginia passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital. Helen was born on March 12, 1934 in McDowell County, West Virginia to the late Wiley Haynes and Mildred Wooline Hayes. She had been a resident of Princeton for the past 34 years and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Helen was a former longtime employee of C&A Coal Company owned by Eddie Asbury in Bluefield, Virginia as Book-keeper. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two children James A. Davis and Barry S. Davis; Three brothers and one sister and beloved husband Albert “Vic” Davis. Survivors Include: Daughter in Law Linda Davis of Princeton, West Virginia; two brothers Ronnie Hayes of Marion, Virginia and Danny Hayes of North Carolina. Two Sisters Edith Mitchell of Pennsylvania, Margaret Hayes of Marion, Virginia. She is also survived by one grandchild Heather Davis and several nieces and nephews as well as her friends at Amedisys Hospices. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 01, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia with Dr. Dan Jividen officiating the service. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluefield, West Virginia where friends and family will be serving as pallbearers. The Davis family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, November 01, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
