Hazel Pendleton, 85, of Bluefield, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, WV.
Born on August 6, 1932 in Pulaski, VA, she was a daughter of the late Charles C. and Blanch Vest Parsell. Hazel worked for the State of WV with the Department of Employment Security and retired after 35 years of service. After her retirement, she enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, watching her favorite soaps and having her family come for visits.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Pendleton and four brothers, Raymond, Donald, Bill and Jim Parsell.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Cox of Bluefield, VA; two grandsons, Adam Cox of Bluefield, WV, and Hunter (Lindsey) Cox of Statesville, NC; and a great granddaughter, Ava Cox of Statesville, NC.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV; friends may visit from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm with the service to begin at 2:00 pm with Brad McMillon officiating.
