Harry Dean Hancock

Harry Dean Hancock, 60, of Bluefield, VA, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at his residence.

Born on April 13, 1960, he was a son of the late Graham and Peggy Hancock. He was retired from Flowers Bakery and had been a resident of Bluefield, VA for 20 years. He attended the Union Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Graham (Belinda) Hancock, his twin, Larry Hancock; and niece, Tina Hancock.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Hancock of the home; son, Jeremy (Whitney) Hancock of Princeton; daughters, Misty Mitchell of Montcalm, and Erica Deann Hancock of Bluefield, VA; grandchildren Katelynn Mitchell, Sarah Mitchell, Addison (Abbydean) Hancock, Blake Hancock, Harper Hancock and Sawyer Hancock; brothers, Dale (Kathy) Hancock of Atkins, VA, Kirby (Jayne) Hancock of Atkins, VA, Timothy Hancock of AZ, Tracy Hancock of AZ, Douglas Hancock of Bluefield; sisters, Susan (Johnny) Shupe of Marion, VA, and Amanda (Blake) Bailey of Bluefield, WV.

He also has a large extended family, aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews, along with special friends and beloved families, The Curtis and Effie Neal families.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. William R. Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Bluewell. Friends may call on Friday from 12:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
