Harold Ellis Pigg

Harold “Sonny” Ellis Pigg, 89, of Rock, WV, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Stonerise Nursing Home in Beckley, WV. Born July 14, 1933 in Rock, WV, he was a son of the late Clifford and Loma Webb Pigg. Harold was a retired coal miner and a proud veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean Conflict. Harold was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred Carol Crigger Pigg.

Those left to cherish Harold’s memory are his sons, Ronald Pigg and wife Margaret, Harold Pigg and wife Carolyn, Nelson Pigg and wife Tammy, and Kenny Pigg and fiance, Hope, all of Rock, WV; daughters, Kathy Short and husband Nelson of Princeton, WV, and Angela Pigg and husband Raymond of Rock, WV;  9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Harold was the last surviving member of his family.

In keeping with Harold’s wishes, there will be no public services. Burial will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.cravens-shires.com. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Pigg family.
