Greta Patricia Strawn

Bluefield- Greta Patricia Strawn, 81, of Stadium Dr., Bluefield, WV passed away Tuesday June 18, 2019 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born February 14, 1938 in Bluefield, VA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Pauline Lawless Smith. She was a 1956 Graduate of Welch High School and a graduate of U.V.A. Mrs. Strawn was a retired School Teacher and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bluefield, VA. While living in Georgia she was a Sunday School Teacher, sang in the choir and played piano. She had been a resident of Bluefield since 2007. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by; her fist husband, James Reed, and second husband, Melvin Strawn.     Survivors include; her sister, Charlotte Massey and husband Leonard of Bluefield, VA, special friend Jim Roe of Bluefield, WV, Brother-in-law Tom Graham of Kimball, WV, a niece, Cynthia Daniels and husband Bob of Rainelle, WV, two nephews, Mark Massey and wife Emily of Cary, NC Todd Massey and wife Jenny of Christiansburg, VA, two great-nieces,  three great-nephews and her cat Princess.     Funeral services for Mrs. Strawn will be conducted Saturday June22, 2019 at 11:30 A.M. at the Woodlawn Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Bob Daniels officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be friends and family members.     The family will receive friends at the Woodlawn Mausoleum Chapel on Saturday June 22, 2019 from 10:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M.     Cravens-Shires Funeral Home of Bluewell is assisting the Strawn Family with arrangements
