Grace Fizer

Grace Barr Fizer, 92, of Davisville, West Virginia formerly of Princeton, West Virginia passed away on November 05, 2019 at her residence following a long illness.

Grace was born in Welch, West Virginia to the late Millard and Eva Barr. She resided in Bluewell, West Virginia for thirty-two years before moving to Princeton, West Virginia. Grace was a member of the Bluewell United Methodist Church. She was retired from Consolidated Coal Company where she worked in the Purchasing Department. She was a former member of the Northfork High School “Forties Reunion Committee”. Grace was the most wonderful Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother and Great Grandmother that anyone could ever have. She was always there for her family. She devoted her life to them and we were so blessed to have her in our lives.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Hezekiah “Buck” Fizer; two sisters Neva Clark and Winnie Wyatt as well as several nieces and nephews.

Grace is survived by her daughter Susan Brannon and husband Rick of Davisville, West Virginia; Granddaughter Jami Keener and husband Mark of Fairmont, West Virginia; Grandson Scott Johnson and wife Kristy of Middletown, Ohio. Step Grandchildren Melissa Anderson and husband Chad of McCordsville, Indiana, Angela Grady of Clayton, North Carolina and Jason Brannon and wife Amanda of St. Mary’s, West Virginia. Great granddaughters Hannah Marie Kenner and Harper Lynn Johnson. Great Grandson Emmett Cutler Johnson. Step Great Grandchildren Cameron and Caitlyn Anderson and Danielle Brannon. Beloved brother Clyde Barr of Bluefield, West Virginia and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 08, 2019 at 11:00 am at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), West Virginia with Minister Scott Johnson of Crosspointe Church of Christ in Franklin, Ohio. Burial will follow a Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, West Virginia where family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, November 08, 2019 one hour prior to the service at the home.
