Glenna Rae Crisco Vance, age 82, of Bluefield, WV, passed away on July 4, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family. “Absent from the body, present with the Lord.”Born on November 5, 1934, in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late Adam McKinley and Minnie Elizabeth Davis Crisco. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 6 of her 7 siblings, sister Evelyn Allen, brothers Marion, Calvin, Wayne, Orrin Lee and Don Crisco. She was a member of Maple View Church of Christ in Bluefield, WV. She is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Simmons of Bluefield, WV; a son, Daniel (Cindy) Vance of Dandridge, TN; daughter, Tami (Richard) Parcell of Asheville, NC; grandsons, Jason (Sabrina) Parcell of Tennessee, and Aaron Parcell of Asheville, NC; great-grandson, Jaxon Parcell, of Tennessee; niece, Sharon Crisco Farley of Bluefield, with whom she made her home; special caretakers, Thelma Farley of the home, great-great niece Mattie Kessler and her fiancé, Keenan Jenkins, great niece Rebecca Kessler. Much gratitude to Bekah Holbrook and Jan Cates of Mercer County Commission on Aging for loving her and taking excellent care of her; and to Hospice Compassus and all of their loving, compassionate staff. Private graveside services were held on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Grandview Memory Gardens with Pastor Tony Reed officiating and family members served as pallbearers.
