Geraldine Dump Hendrick

Geraldine  “Dump” Hendrick, 58, of Bluefield, WV, joined her heavenly Father peacefully on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 doing hard work.  Born December 2, 1961 in Marion, VA, she was the birth daughter of the late Zorada and Vander Nichols.  She was the adopted daughter of the late Billy and Mary Cregger. She was a resident of Bluefield, WV for forty years and was a member of Deliverance Temple Church.  She was a former employee of Dairy Queen on Bluefield Avenue and was employed by Sam’s Club for the past two and a half years.

In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Daniel Hendrick; and a sister, Katherine Schaeffer.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, William Brandon Hendrick and wife, Courtney, of Bluefield, WV; daughter, Amber Nicole Patterson and husband, Stephen, of Charlotte, NC; three brothers, David Cregger of Marion, VA, Bart Blankenship, and Brett Blankenship; 2 sisters, Kendra Roberts of Tallahassee, FL, and Karla Jerrills of Newport, VA; half-sister, Christina Cregger; grandchildren, Stacy Hendrick, Ben Hendrick, Piper Hendrick, Ryder Hendrick, Logan Patterson, Andrew Patterson, Hannah Patterson, and Noah Patterson.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Deliverance Temple Church with Rev. David Kirby officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Lemoyne Hendrick, Nathan Hendrick, Andrew Hendrick, Zyndall Hendrick, Jason Culver, and Ben Hendrick serving as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, November 13, 2020 at the church.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.cravens-shires.com.  Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell is serving the Hendrick family.
