Georgia Lee Pitzer, 81, of Bluefield, West Virginia went to be with the LORD on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia with her family by her side.
Georgia was born on Wednesday, July 29, 1936 in Pike, Kentucky to the late John and Della “Polly” McFall Adkins. Georgia had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield area and attended Memorial Church of Christ. She was also a member of the VFW women’s auxiliary. Georgia retired from Aramark Uniform Service in Bluefield, Virginia and after her retirement she worked as a caregiver.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four Brothers Dan and George Adkins; Kennel Anderson and Hubert McFall; three sisters Lucy Smith, London Hylton and Bertha Rose. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons James and Chris and a son in law Roger Lynch and two stepsons.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Ray Pitzer of Bluefield, West Virginia; three daughters Deborah Adkins of Cedar Hill, Missouri, Reva Lynch of House Springs, Missouri and Della “Fuzzy” Keen and husband Roger of Kegley, West Virginia. Six grandchildren Michele, Donnie, Lynn, David, Samantha and Tanya. Two step grandchildren Ryan and Raylee. She is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She will be missed by her church family and faithful companion her beloved dog, Rocky.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia with Evangelist Rod Hedrick and Pastor Frank Hall officiating the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, West Virginia with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 11:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
