Georgia Perdue

Georgia C. Alexander Perdue, 90, of RL Lane, Bluefield, passed away Saturday May 6, 2017 at the Glenwood Park Retirement Village.   Born January 8, 1927 in Maysville, KY, she was a daughter of the late George Childs Alexander and Alma C. Alexander Weaver Manning. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and a former employee of Bluefield Supply Co. for 25 years.   In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Vester Ray Perdue, two brothers; Richard Weaver, Bud Weaver; and a sister, Florence Rhodes.     Survivors include:   3 sons:  James “Jim” Perdue and wife Sandy of Bluefield, WV Larry E. Perdue and wife Kathy of Kingsport, TN Ronald K. Perdue and wife Kathy of Suffolk, VA   6 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren   3 brothers:          Walt Weaver of Wetumka, AL Doug Weaver of Austin, TX David Weaver of Houston, TX   Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday May 9, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Roberts officiating. Entombment will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Princeton, WV where family members will serve as pallbearers.   Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00-12:00 at the funeral home.   Online condolences will be accepted at www.cravens-shires.com
