Gary Ray Bell

Gary Ray Bell, 69, of Bluefield, WV, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at his home. Born September 10, 1952, he was a son of the late Louis and Edna Mae Horton Bell. Gary was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a Welder for Norris Screen, and attended Ceres Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Barbara, Anita, and Carolyn; brother, Sherman; and nephew, Casey Wimmer.

Those left to cherish Gary’s memory are his wife, Deborah “Sis” Bell of the home; daughters, Onshawn Beavers (Justin) of Welch, WV, and Melinda Bell of NC; 5 grandchildren; brothers, Irvin Bell of Bluefield, WV, and Jimmy Bell of FL; sister, Marilyn Bowman of Bramwell, WV; two sisters-in-law, Sandy Wimmer (Gilbert) of Bluefield, WV, and Vickie Barnette (Rodney) of Princeton, WV; brother-in-law, John Jones (Beverly) of Bluefield, WV; special nephew, Chase Wimmer (Holly) of FL.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, September 27, 2021 at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Pastor James Mooney officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Monday at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home.  Military honors will be performed by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be family.
