Fred Eddie Lane

Fred Eddie Lane, 76, of Kegley, West Virginia passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Summers Nursing and Rehab in Hinton, West Virginia. Fred was born on August 04, 1940 in Welch, West Virginia to the late Fred and Laura Combs Lane. Fred had been a resident of Kegley for the past thirteen years.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters Betty Christian, Agnes Fowler and Louise Graham and one brother Frankie Lane.Left to cherish his memory is his three sisters Kathleen Presley of Princeton, West Virginia, Mary McGraw and husband Brenen of Leckie, West Virginia and Pauline Martin of Kentucky. Two brothers Johnny Douglas Lane and wife Robin of Princeton, West Virginia and Clyde Lane of Virginia. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia with Rev. Charlotte England officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluefield, West Virginia with his nephews Travis Gills, Roger Bailey, Jessee Lane, Johnny Daniel, Harry Hughes and Keith Christian serving as pallbearers.
