Frankie Ray Grose, 60, of Route 20 (Archery Lane) Bluefield, passed away at Charleston Area Medical Center on May 3, 2017 after sustaining injuries from a fall. He died peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 25, 1957 in Windmill Gap, he was the son of Bobby and Lorene Grose. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vergil and Lomie Grose and William J. and Sebina V. Beggs. Survivors include his loving companion, Loretta Nichols, of 17 years. Others include one sister, Wanda Doss and husband Jerry of Windmill Gap and one brother, Kevin Groseand wife Judy of Route 20, Bluefield. Frankie graduated from Montcalm High School. He worked as a coal miner for 21 years. Frankie especially enjoyed hunting and being outside. Frankie has two sons, Frankie Jr and Brandon. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing with them. He also enjoyed spendingtime with his four grandchildren and one great grandchild as well as three step grandchildren. Frankie loved his family, and they fulfilled his greatest joys of life. Frankie will be missed by all and remembered for his compassion and love for people and will be missed by all those whose lives he touched. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, May 07, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), West Virginia with Rev. Larry Roberts officiating the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, West Virginia where Bobby Bishop, Justin Dunford, Jerry Taylor, Mark Beggs, Josh Hodges and Aaron Simpkins will be serving as pallbearers. The Grose family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, May 06, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
