Evelyn Marjorie Massaroni

Evelyn Wood Massaroni of Lorton Lick Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away peacefully at her home of 74 years on the evening of March 14, 2022. She was 94. Evelyn was full of spirit, humor, love, and kindness. Her home was always the steadfast sanctuary and place of boundless warmth and memories to friends and family. To know her, truly was to love her.

Evelyn was married to her lifetime love for 69 years, the late Raymond Massaroni. She is survived by sons: Darrel and his wife Sue, Mt. Dora, FL; Michael and his wife Michelle, Princeton, WV; and Mark and Ree, Bluefield, WV; grandchildren: Darci, Nolan (Candy), Sam (Kristin), Ashley (Robert), and Brittany; and great-grandchildren: Zeke, Parker, Arianna, Jaden, Mackenzie, Kobe, and Evelyn Rae. 

Evelyn was born to Dewey and Zenia Wood of Crane Creek, WV. She is survived by her sister Geraldine Meadows and her husband Frank, many nieces and nephews; and was preceded in death by siblings Lawrence, Leona, Helen, Harold, and Randall.

To honor her wishes, a short graveside service will be held Sunday, March 20, at 1:00 pm at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Bluefield, VA. Please no flowers, just your loving thoughts and memories.
