Evelyn Hamilton

Evelyn Dawson Hamilton, 74, of Sheppard Road, Bluewell, had her soul set free on the morning of June 2, 2017, leaving behind her earthly duties of wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to dwell in the house of the Lord forever.   Born on December 9, 1942 in English, WV, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Nettie Bell Dawson. She had been a resident of Bluefield since 1958 and was a retired insurance agent from Skeens Insurance in Bluewell. She will be forever missed and greatly remembered and loved by her family and friends.   Survivors include her:   Husband:             Bill Hamilton of the home   Daughter:            Shelia Clyburn of Bluewell   Son:       Scott Hamilton and wife Nancy of Shady Springs, WV   8 grandchildren:               Kenny Clyburn, Nic Clyburn, Alyssa Clyburn, Ashley Hamilton, Stephen Clyburn                                                 Danny Hamilton, Jonathan Hamilton, Morgan Hamilton   Great grandson:               Auron Clyburn   Brother:               Randall Dawson and wife Patti of Princeton   Sister:   Rebecca Lewis and husband Jeff of Kernersville, NC   Brother in law:  Wylie Hamilton of Princeton   Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Wylie Hamilton and Rev. Randall Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where Nic Clyburn, Nelson Cowsert, Chris Hamilton, Danny Hamilton, Jonny Hamilton, Mike King, Andy Meadows, and Ken Perkins will serve as pallbearers.   Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.   Online condolences will be accepted at www.cravens-shires.com
