Evelyn Davis Davis

Evelyn Martha Davis, 87, of Bluewell, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at her home.

Born on July 23, 1936 in Davy, she was a daughter of the late Charles Arthur and Margaret St. Clair Culp. She was a retired nurse’s aide and formerly worked at Stevens Clinic and Welch Emergency Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George “Sandy” Davis; a son, Ricky Culp; and her siblings, Irene, Dorothy, Jenny, Goldie, Ruby, Glenna, Tiny and Mary.

Survivors include special nieces and nephews, Wanda Blevins, David & Jody Blevins, Marie Mason, Helen Davis, and many others. She is also survived by her faithful companion, “Benji”. Special thanks to Jody and Cindy Blevins who were her caregivers.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Jessie Hunt and Rev. Terry Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.

Friends may call on Friday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
