Eunice Ann Sexton, 74, of Freeman, WV passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022, at her home with her husband and family surrounding her. Born November 21, 1947, in Big Sandy, WV, she was a daughter of the late Hazel Lester.
Eunice had been a resident of the Freeman/Bramwell, WV area since 1973. She attended Pocahontas High School and was a graduate of Bluefield High School. She was a homemaker for most of her life, caring for the home and her family. In her younger years she worked at Kresge Department Store, Shoney’s, and sold Avon. Eunice was of the Baptist faith. She loved watching wrestling and scary movies with her family but, most of all loved listening to old rock and roll music.
Eunice was a wonderful mother and wife, she was loved by everyone she knew, and had many friends throughout her life.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Wade Sexton.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 56 years, Alvin Wade Sexton, of the home; son Roger Sexton of Freeman, WV; special brother-in-law, Larry Farthing; the Wright Family of Big Sandy, WV; and several brothers and sisters.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV.
