Ethel Mageline Hatfield, 67, of Kernersville, NC where she had resided for the past three years, she was formerly of Princeton, WV and passed away on Saturday, September 08, 2018 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem, NC.
Ethel was born on March 28, 1951 in McDowell County, WV to the late Fred Ernest Mitchell and Lilly Virginia Graham and her step father Harry Franklin Graham.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers Donald Tolley, Howard Mitchell and Freddy Mitchell; three sisters Gracie Mae Mitchell Burks, Nancy Romine and Lois Jean Hurley. She was a former employee of Bluefield Daily Telegraph and a supervisor at Hardees Restaurant.
Ethel is survived by her children Lillian M. Milam of Kernersville, NC; Dana Milam of Kernersville, NC; Billy Adams of Bluefield, WV and Douglas Adams of Welch, WV. She is also survived by two Brothers Jesse Mitchell and wife Debbie of Princeton, WV and Lewis Mitchell of Welch, WV; one sisters Shirley Jarrett of Tennessee and three grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, WV with Rev. James Bassett and Captain Jerry Lester officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluefield, WV where friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
